Our History & Purpose

Our organization, IBHA, was founded with the aim of bringing together young enthusiasts of ball hockey. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and friendly environment where players can enhance their skills, engage in friendly competition, and forge long-lasting connections within the community.

Program Details

  • Age Group: 4-18 Years

  • Schedule & Location: Harewood Covered Box, Nanaimo Ice Centre and Frank Crane Arena

  • Cost: $250

    • This fee covers costs such as insurance, jerseys, and facility rentals.

Registration Information

Registration for our Spring/Summer Ball Hockey Season is open from November to March each year. To join our exciting program, simply follow the steps below:

  1. Visit our online registration portal Spordle at https://page.spordle.com/nanaimo-minor-ball-hockey-association/register/1f0c4ad9-54e4-6464-87c9-06400d5506a3 
  2. Complete the registration form with the required details
  3. Submit the form along with the necessary payment information

Schedule Announcement

Last update – March 3, 2026 at 9:12am

Starting in April (Weekends only)

U8-U16 will practice Saturdays and Sundays unless they have a game. The first practice is at 3 p.m., starting with the youngest age groups.

Starting April 19th

U6: Sunday, 3 PM–4 PM (this age group practices every Sunday at this time)

Starting in May and continuing through June

U8 Tuesday starts 5pm or later depending on venue 

U10  Tuesday starts 5pm or later depending on venue

U12 Wednesday starts 5pm  or later depending on venue

U14 Thursday starts 5pm or later depending on venue

U16 Thursday starts 5pm or later depending on venue

Complete practice and game schedules will be released by the end of March.
